any time a idle game asks me to sign up and make an account for a 3rd party website its massive red flags for me

Thank you for the feedback. Do you know how can it be hosted directly in itch? So it can be on both website and itch directly.

Totally fair concern — that's why I just added a guest demo mode! You can now try the full game experience at run4ever.win/try with zero registration. Pick a runner type, name it, watch it run, and see how the core loop works. If you like it, you can register to keep your runner. If not, no harm done. The game is a solo passion project by me (Marcos, from Portugal), not a data harvesting scheme. Appreciate the honest feedback — it helped me build this.

why not host it on itch? seems very suspicous and much less likely to actuly go anywhere.

Honestly, not sure if it is possible to host it directly on itch. If it is, how can it be done? For context, it was already hosted in a server (mainly its a laravel app running in a akamai server) before its itch registration.

i have no clue but this is the first game i have seen that isint a download or hosted here. never see an external link like this before.

Thank you for the feedback. I'll check further how this can be (if it can) changed/moved to itch.

After checking further:

Run4ever is a server-side game (Laravel) it can't run as a static HTML5 embed on itch unfortunately. But I hear you on the trust issue! I've added a guest demo mode at run4ever.win/try where you can try the game instantly, no account needed. I'm also the sole developer — you can see my profile at marcosmendes.eu. Thanks for the feedback, it genuinely helped.
